A professionally cleaned property holds its value
If you own a long-term rental property in Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Bonita Springs, or Estero, you already know that the standard of cleanliness you maintain directly affects your rental’s reputation and your tenant’s satisfaction. A professionally cleaned property holds its value, keeps tenants happy, and protects you from costly maintenance surprises down the road. That is where we come in.
I’m Jana Machado, owner of Rest Easy Cleaning, and I’ve spent 20 years learning exactly what rental properties need to stay in excellent condition. Long-term rental cleaning is not the same as a quick weekly home clean. It requires a different kind of attention, a deeper level of accountability, and a cleaning partner who genuinely cares about the condition of your investment.
What Long-Term Rental Cleaning Actually Requires
Long-term rental properties in Southwest Florida take real wear. Tenants live in these homes full-time, and the accumulation of everyday life shows up in places that casual cleaning misses entirely. We check the grout lines, the baseboards, the ceiling fans, the corners of the shower, and the areas behind and beneath appliances. We use the right products on the right surfaces, because an all-purpose cleaner that works fine on a countertop will leave a mirror streaky and a floor dull.
“For rentals we have lists because we want to make sure that what needs to be done, is done,” says Jana. “And we will rotate in something that needs a deeper clean every week. So for example, we don’t clean light bulbs every time that we clean the house, but we dust them with the Swiffer duster. And then every couple of months we thoroughly wipe them down and then, you know, we’ll make sure that those are things we rotate. One day we clean the blinds, one day we clean the ceiling fans so we make sure that things are always clean. That precision is what separates a property that looks clean from one that actually is clean. Your tenants will notice the difference, and so will you.”
That rotation system means nothing ever gets permanently neglected. Deep cleaning tasks cycle through consistently so your property stays in genuinely good condition between tenants and throughout a long-term lease.
No two rental properties are the same, and I never treat them as if they are. When we take on a long-term rental cleaning contract, I sit down with the property owner or property manager and we build a plan together. We write it down, and we follow it every single time.
Standards That Do Not Waver
My standards are high, and I hold my team to them on every job. If I inspect a property and it does not meet my expectations, the team member goes back and cleans it to my standard. That is not something I’m flexible about. Property owners in Fort Myers and across Lee County have come to count on that consistency, and I’m not willing to compromise it for anyone.
We are also fully transparent. If we find something in a rental that needs attention, whether it’s a maintenance issue we spotted or an item left behind by a previous tenant, we photograph it and report it to the property manager immediately. You are never left guessing about the condition of your home.
